Volunteer Role Descriptions
This section is designed to facilitate the sharing of volunteer role
descriptions within 4-H Programs. Each identified volunteer role should
have a written description designed for it. This gives both the volunteer
and the organization a clear definition of the expectations of the volunteer.
The role description can clarify the purpose of the role, identify responsibilities,
relationships, resources and time expectations of the people involved.
It establishes lines of communication between volunteers and salaried
staff.
This collection of volunteer position descriptions provides numerous
examples for use by Extension professionals. Once you have downloaded
the file onto your local computer, the position descriptions may be modified
and adapted to match your identified volunteer needs.
