School Enrichment![]() The 4-H School Enrichment program offers public and private school teachers the opportunity to extend and enhance students' learning with fun, hands-on activities. Extension professionals collaborate with teachers to bring programs to students by providing a combination of instructional materials and teacher training, delivering instruction in the classroom (teaching or co-teaching), and/or conducting special educational events in schools or communities. 4-H curricula are developed around a 5-step experiential learning model:
Curriculum materials used for school enrichment programs are reviewed to ensure quality and promote sharing. The State 4-H Curriculum Committee oversees the review process. To submit materials for review or for more information on the process, contact Bill Million at the State 4-H Office or send an e-mail: wmillion@uiuc.edu. The following projects are especially recommended for classroom settings. In addition to these, many other 4-H projects are adaptable to the school setting. Refer to the Illinois Clover for complete information on these and all other Illinois 4-H projects.
