Recognition for Excellence Program

4-H Clubs & Groups

• Club Charter given to new 4-H clubs

• Group Charter given to new 4-H Cloverbud groups

• Flag Set given to new 4-H clubs

• A Club/Group Charter Seal is presented each year after a club/group re-enrolls its membership.

• Progress Patch and/or Date Patch for making progress toward club or group goals

• Award of Excellence Patch and/or Date Patch is presented for achieving 11 of the 14 items from the Illinois 4-H Standards of Excellence for 4-H Groups.
• Standards of Excellence for 4-H Clubs and Groups (90230) (PDF)

• State Award Patches will be awarded in each curriculum area to the top 10 clubs or groups in the state based on information provided on the Illinois 4-H Club/Group Report Form which is due in the State 4-H Office by AUGUST 15.
