Camping: Western Camp
Dear Parents,
The Western Youth Camp is a great place for your son or
daughter to receive the finest summer camp experience available. Operated by the Western Illinois Youth Camp Association which is made up of volunteers and University of Illinois Extension personel, the mission of Western Youth Camp is to
foster positive youth development through a "Learning By Doing" philosophy.
Youth campers benefit from a summer camp experience in many ways. Most
campers establish a greater sense of independence, responsibility, and self-confidence. Campers live, work, and play with others with diverse backgrounds of
race, creed, culture, age, disability, and gender. This experience will foster new
friends and create a greater appreciation for people and the natural environment.
Please feel free to give us a call or to stop by and see Western
Youth Camp for yourself. We look forward to meeting you this summer!
Sincerely,
Angela Gerberding
