Illinois 4-H Conversation Announced
Illinois 4-H will begin celebrating the 4-H centennial with the Illinois Conversation on Youth Development in the 21st Century. This event brings together youth, volunteers, and staff from youth-serving organizations to discuss issues related to Illinois youth. Delegates to the state conversation were selected from participants at county-level conversations.
The State Conversation will be held on Saturday, December 8 at the Holiday Inn Select & Convention Center in Tinley Park. Orion Samuelson, of WGN Radio, will be the master of ceremonies for the event with many other dignitaries present for the day.
"We want to celebrate the wonderful impact that 4-H has had in the past 100 years by focusing on the future needs of youth in Illinois," said Janice A. Seitz, Assistant Dean and Director for University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Development. "By gathering youth and adults together to discuss these issues, we hope to identify future needs and goals."
