Illinois 4-H Volunteers Attend NCRVF in Milwaukee More than 30 Illinois 4-H members, volunteers and University of Illinois Extension staff participated in the 2007 North Central Region Volunteer Forum in Milwaukee, October 12-14. Wisconsin teen and volunteer hosts encouraged the more than 500 Midwestern participants to “Capture the Spirit” by learning new skills, information and techniques, in addition to sharing other successful 4-H programs and activities. The forum promotes learning and sharing on all aspects of 4-H. “Volunteers are special people. Their dedication to learning additional skills to take home and teach to youth or to use in implementing new programs in their 4-H club is inspirational,” said Sheri Seibold, Extension Specialist for volunteer programming with the U of I Extension State 4-H Office. “The Illinois delegation has ‘captured the spirit’ and is excited to take new information home and teach it to others.” In addition to learning new information, Illinois youth, volunteers and staff provided several educational workshops during the forum.
