2007 Illinois State Fair

It was another hot day at the Illinois State Fair. 4-H projects were on display in the Jr. Home Ec, U of I Extension and Exposition buildings.

Excitement was in the air as the Grand Champion Wether was named today -- Lynsie Bane, of Arrowsmith (McLean County), takes home top honors. Reserve Champion Wether went to Jarod Whitcomb, of Greenview (Menard County). Sarah DeSchepper, of Victoria (Knox County) showed the Land of Lincoln Grand Champion Wether.

At the Jr. Steer Show, Nicholas Day, of Lovington (Moultrie County) showed the Grand Champion Steer (amongst other big wins of the day). Dan Hartmann, of Maple Park (Kane County), had the Reserve Champion. Danny Zehr, of Graymont (Livingston County) showed the Land of Lincoln Grand Champion Steer.
