- Building Our Future
with Volunteers
2003 North Central Region Volunteer Forum
November 13-16, 2003
Want to build your leader skills? Need to add more fun and practical
ideas for club meetings to your tool box? Plan to attend the 2003
North Central Region Volunteer Forum, November 13-16, 2003, at
the Holiday Inn City Centre, in Peoria, Illinois. True to the
theme, "Building Our Future with Volunteers", you can
lay the foundation and build your skills during fun, hands-on
workshops. Let the speakers inspire you as you develop your skills
and enhance your experience by dining and touring one of the Nation's
premier wildlife parks. Make a difference to others by helping
stock pantry shelves with non-perishable food products or donations.
An optional track on equestrian issues includes a tour to a local
equestrian group's facility and learning about their therapeutic
riding program. Share ideas with 4-H leaders and volunteers from
12 Midwestern states and 3 Canadian provinces. Survey the site
by touring Central Illinois attractions including the Caterpillar-Morton
Plant, the Peoria Riverfront, and various shopping opportunities.
Reservation materials will be available in early spring. For more
information and details, visit the website at http://www.4-H.uiuc.edu/events/03forum.html
or contact your local Extension Office at ___________________.
