Legislative Connection VII

More than 2,500 4-H members and their families from throughout Illinois attended Legislative Connection at the State Capitol on April 15. 4-H'ers met with their local legislators, attended educational workshops and toured Springfield landmarks.

The event highlighted the achievements of nearly 400,000 current Illinois 4-H members and leaders and paid tribute to those who have contributed to the program’s continued success.

Here are some highlights of the day:

More than 400 Illinois 4-H Club Presidents and their parents celebrated 4-H by attending the President’s Invitational Conference held during the annual 4-H Legislative Connection at the State Capitol on Tuesday, April 15. 4-H club presidents attended leadership skill-building workshops and learned about the legislative process within state government. The 4-H club presidents also learned how to develop their own “leadership team” and share 4-H success stories within their communities.
